This year Longwood will have a Summer Academy from June 26 to July 26.  Please be sure to return the permission slips as soon as possible, because classes will fill up quickly and will have no more than 18 students in each.  Classes will be from 8:30 to 12:30 with breakfast and lunch provided.

There will also be a special computer class to train students to become Classroom Technology Experts for the 2012 - 2013 school year.  This class is open to any interested 3rd - 5th grade students.  There will only be 6 students per grade chosen.  Interested students must fill out an application, parent permission slip, and have a positive teacher recommendation.  Please see Ms. Roberts in the Computer Lab or your teacher for an application.

We have been working really hard this year, and now is the time that we get to show what we know.  During this testing time, it's very important that all students come to school on time, have had a good night's sleep, and a good breakfast.  These three things will help them do their best on the CST tests this month.  

Encourage your child to work hard and try to answer every question to the best of their ability, but don't push them to a point where they are stressed about test.  A relaxed and focused brain is best.

We are very proud of our Longwood students, and know they will do great work!
